Struklio Is Now on Android
Struklio is live on Google Play. Build, preview, share and publish native apps from your Android phone, with the same account, the same plans and the same free trial as on iPhone. And the apps you build can now be published to Google Play, too.
Today is a big day for us: Struklio is now available on Android. You can download it from Google Play and start building your app straight away.
Until today, Struklio was an iPhone app. But building apps from your phone was never meant to depend on which phone you own.
Now it doesn’t.
The full Struklio, on Android
This is not a lighter version or a preview. Everything you know from Struklio on iPhone is there on Android:
- Every template: Events & Community, Restaurant, Service Business and E-Commerce
- The full visual builder, with every component and your own Collections
- Review mode, to use your app exactly the way your customers will
- Shared App Previews, so testers can open your app on their own phones
- Publishing to the App Store and Google Play, from the Starter plan up
One account, both phones
Your Struklio account works on both platforms. Sign in on Android and your projects are there, ready to keep building.
Same plans, same free trial
Free, Starter, Creator and Pro are all available on Android at the same prices. On Android they’re billed through Google Play, and every paid plan starts with the same 1-week free trial.
Publish your apps to Google Play, too
Android isn’t only where you build. Starting today, the apps you build with Struklio can go on Google Play as well as the App Store.
Here’s how it works:
- Struklio builds your Android app file (an .aab), ready for Google Play. Start the build from your account on struklio.com and download the file when it’s done
- Struklio creates and keeps your app’s signing key, so there’s nothing technical for you to set up or lose
- You upload the file to Google Play the first time. Google requires a new app’s first upload to be done by hand, and our guide walks you through every click
Google also asks a few things of every new developer, and some of them take time, so it’s worth starting early:
- A Google Play Developer account: $25, paid once to Google, never renewed
- An identity check with your ID and an Android phone
- A 14-day test with 12 testers, if you sign up as an individual
Publishing is included in Starter, Creator and Pro, just like on the App Store. We’ve written a step-by-step guide for people who have never done this before: Going to Production → Android Setup.
Thank you
To everyone who joined the Android waitlist or asked us when it was coming: thank you. This one is for you.
Our goal hasn’t changed: anyone with an idea should be able to build a real app from the device in their pocket. Today that’s twice as many pockets.
