Struklio Update 1.0.5
Our fifth update introduces a new E-Commerce template and improves product management, inventory, checkout, administration, and the overall experience of building commerce applications with Struklio.
Update 1.0.5 is the fifth update to Struklio.
This release introduces one of the largest additions to Struklio so far: a complete E-Commerce template.
Users can now create and customize mobile commerce applications with product browsing, product details, shopping carts, store pickup, checkout, order history, customer profiles, inventory management, and administrative tools.
Alongside the new template, this update fixes several issues found while testing real ordering, payment, inventory, and administration flows.
A New E-Commerce Template
The new E-Commerce template gives users a structured starting point for building mobile shopping applications directly from their phone.
Instead of starting with an empty project, users can begin with a complete application structure that includes:
- A product catalog
- Product-detail screens
- A shopping cart
- Store pickup
- Checkout
- Order history
- Customer profiles
- Store administration
The template can be customized visually inside Struklio, allowing users to change screens, content, components, navigation, branding, and business settings.
This means a founder, business, agency, or creator can begin with a working commerce structure and shape it around their own use case instead of designing every flow from the beginning.
Product Management and Inventory
Store owners can now manage products directly through the Store Dashboard.
Products can include names, descriptions, prices, categories, images, icons, colors, options, availability, and stock quantities.
Product icons can also be selected manually. When no custom icon is chosen, Struklio uses a category-aware fallback so products are represented more clearly throughout the application.
Inventory is now connected to the ordering system.
When an order is created, the relevant stock quantity is reduced. If an eligible order is cancelled or refunded, the stock is restored automatically.
Safeguards are also included to prevent the same inventory from being restored more than once.
These changes make product availability more reliable and reduce the risk of overselling limited stock.
Store Pickup Before Checkout
Customers now confirm store pickup as part of the checkout flow, rather than it being an assumption left implicit in the order.
The pickup information is included with the order, giving both the customer and the store owner a clearer understanding of where the order should be collected.
For the first version of the E-Commerce template, the flow focuses on store pickup, with no time-slot selection. Scheduled pickup times, delivery, and courier integrations can be expanded in future updates.
Payment Statuses Now Stay Synchronized
After a successful external Stripe checkout, the related order previously remained in a pending payment state.
This meant that even though a customer had successfully paid, the store administrator could still see the order as unpaid.
Update 1.0.5 adds payment-session verification after checkout. Once Stripe confirms that the transaction has been completed successfully, the corresponding business order is updated with the correct payment status.
This connection is essential because payment completion and order management need to remain synchronized.
Stripe continues to be used only for external business transactions configured by users for their own app projects. Struklio Premium continues to use Apple In-App Purchase and StoreKit exclusively.
Guest Checkout
E-commerce applications can now optionally allow customers to place an order without creating an account.
If a customer is not signed in, the checkout flow can offer three options:
- Create an account
- Continue as a guest
Guest orders are associated with a locally generated identity and stored on the customer’s device.
This makes checkout faster for customers who do not want to create an account, while still allowing them to view their recent guest orders on the same device.
Guest order history is not synchronized across devices, which is an intentional limitation of the current implementation.
Failed Orders No Longer Appear Successful
While building guest checkout, we found a separate issue in the existing ordering flow.
If an order failed to save because of an authentication problem, backend error, or another unexpected issue, the customer could still be shown a successful order confirmation.
The order had not actually been created, but the interface behaved as though everything had worked.
This has now been fixed.
A failed order displays a real error, the shopping cart remains intact, and the customer is no longer shown a false confirmation screen.
This is an important reliability improvement because the application must clearly distinguish between an order that was successfully created and one that never reached the business.
A More Complete Store Dashboard
The Store Dashboard now brings more of the commerce administration experience into one place.
Store owners can manage:
- Products
- Orders
- Inventory
- Payment statuses
- Fulfilment statuses
- Tracking information
- Staff access
- Team invitations
A new Staff tab allows the app owner to see who has administrative access and invite additional team members.
We also fixed an issue that could prevent the creator of an exported application from accessing their own administrative screens.
The app creator is now correctly recognized as the owner and can access the tools needed to operate the application.
Better Product and Preview Layouts
Update 1.0.5 also includes several interface improvements across both the builder and the customer-facing application.
Long product names now wrap correctly instead of being cut off after one line.
The product grid now scrolls naturally with the rest of the page instead of inside a separate fixed-height area.
The Product Detail screen now keeps the Add to Cart controls visible at the bottom of the screen while the customer scrolls through the product information.
We also corrected layout issues that caused certain administrative and commerce components to appear too small or shifted to one side inside the builder preview.
The Profile screen now uses the full available width, and hero buttons can now scroll directly to content located further down the same screen.
These changes make the builder preview more accurate and the final customer experience more consistent.
Building Complete Business Flows
Update 1.0.4 focused on the connections that happen after a booking, payment, order, or message.
Update 1.0.5 expands that foundation into commerce.
A product needs to show the correct stock. An order needs to reduce inventory. A cancelled order needs to restore it. A completed payment needs to update the order. A failed order needs to show a real error. An administrator needs access to the tools required to manage the business.
These systems need to work together for an e-commerce application to feel reliable.
The new E-Commerce template is another major step toward Struklio becoming a complete mobile-first no-code workspace for creating, structuring, configuring, and managing mobile applications directly from your phone.
This is the fifth update to Struklio. And we keep building.
